Quake II goodness
Yes, I know Quake II was released ages ago (back in 1997), and I also know that it’s 2005 now and that Quake 4 was released some days ago, but anyway, I fell in love with Quake II yesterday. :)
It even runs flawlessly on my computer that certainly isn’t designed for games (Celeron 2.4, 256 MB, GeForceFX 5200 w/ 128 MB). 70-80 fps in 1280×1024, I’m impressed :) (Then again, I’m not really a gamer… As long as I can play it, it’s fine.)
With the help of Q2, I’m going to try to polish my almost unexisting game skills a little. (The fact that it’s available natively for Linux helps quite a lot. :P) I like to play this kind of games, I just never have time to do it, and when I actually have time, I ‘m feeling to bad at it to do anything serious… :/ (I occasionally play serious when I’m on a LAN party, though)
Anyway, I’ve come a bit into Q2 (in easy mode…) but gave up after not finding out how to use the damn rebreather… :S
Wish me luck, I’ll need it. ;)
