School, and the mighty project
OK, so school started again some weeks ago, and I’m running around in circles. Well, not really, but some things just aren’t adding up yet… It feels like I have lots of stuff to do in no time, but I just can’t figure out what they are… :(
Anyway, this term (which is the last term before university :D), we are doing a project. I’m building a laser gun together with two friends. It’s not what it sounds like, we’re just going to put a laser diode inside a soft air gun and then make some kind of target based on photo diodes that we’ll hook up to a computer through the parallel port. (Well, since I don’t know how you’re thinking, I don’t know if it was what it sounded like…) If we finish it, it’ll be way cool to play with. If we don’t, I’ll commit hara-kiri. (No, that’s absolutely not a promise. I won’t be happy anyway.)
We’ve only just started though, and I have been digging myself into some electronics the last week. I think I’ve figured out what we’ll need, but I’m not entirely sure. ;)
I’m kinda amazed of all these useless chips (no, not edible ones) that you can buy, but some of them them sure make my life easier, since I’m in charge of the electronics in this project…
Let’s just hope the zapper gives me a good grade, and that we finish it so I have something to do this summer. ;)

P.S. I found out some days ago that I’ll probably be going skiing in Isaberg again (almost the same gang, not my middle sister, but some of my older sister’s friends) on February 12, that’s two weeks from now and I just can’t wait!
